At Center for Plastic Surgery Ann Arbor, we offer a range of laser skin resurfacing treatment options using the Sciton® Contour TRL® device (Contour Tunable Resurfacing Laser). This state-of-the-art laser is safe for all skin types and is typically used on the face, neck, chest, and hands.
Whether you want to gently brighten your skin or correct significant signs of aging or sun damage, we have a treatment for you. The options are listed below from least to most aggressive—although the strength of the individual treatments can be adjusted as well.
Model
With Pro-Nox™, you're in full control of your comfort. This advanced, patient-controlled system uses a safe mix of oxygen and nitrous oxide to provide immediate relief during select treatments, whether you're easing discomfort or calming nerves. Enjoy a more comfortable experience from start to finish—without any needles or downtime.
Model
This option is deeper than microdermabrasion and peels, but the gentlest of our laser resurfacing treatments.
This option provides superficial resurfacing that is deeper than the NanoLaserPeel.
This option provides fractional resurfacing through thousands of pinpoint beams of laser energy that create tiny injuries and initiate the natural healing process. In addition, collagen production increases for gradual firming.
This option provides deep resurfacing by removing an outer layer of skin so that it is replaced with a new layer of fresh, younger-looking skin. Collagen is stimulated as well for increased firmness and elasticity.
We can provide even more complete rejuvenation by combining treatments. For example, we can first perform a MicroLaserPeel to address concerns on the surface of the skin and follow it with ProFractional Therapy to stimulate collagen production for noticeable firming and tightening over time.

Get to Know Dr. StrongWhile our laser resurfacing treatments differ in intensity, they are performed in a similar manner. After numbing the targeted skin (if needed), it is gently cleansed and safety shields are placed over your eyes. Next, the laser handpiece is smoothed over the skin as flashes of laser energy are released.
You will be given instructions for aftercare that are specific to your treatment. It is important to stay out of direct sunlight until your skin has healed. We recommend always wearing high-quality sunscreen that is at least SPF 30.
