Get to Know Dr. StrongAfter prepping the skin with a topical numbing cream and then cleansing it away, your practitioner places the handpiece on the skin. Its tiny needles rapidly penetrate the skin and release RF energy, creating a warming sensation. The handpiece is moved to the adjacent area until the skin in the targeted area is completely treated.
The skin will look mildly red and swollen for the first 2 to 3 days; however, no downtime is needed. Avoid applying makeup for 1 to 2 days.
